With globalization and technological progress enterprises have become increasingly exposed to various types of commercial crime. The latter may include employees, third party, or a combination of both in order to achieve personal benefits.
Companies are faced with the following challenges:
- dishonesty accountants, managers of public enterprises (kindergartens, schools, institutions)
- a higher level of commercial crime in times of economic uncertainty
- implementation of austerity measures in enterprises or in public organizations, which includes a wage freeze or dismissal may encourage employees to seek alternative ways to increase personal income
